Linuxiso.org often has decent mirrors. Or you can look for a mirror on the site.
Here is another one:
ftp://ftp.amesfug.org/pub/linux/KNOPPIX/KNOPPIX_V3.6-2004-08-16-EN/

I would go to Linux ISO.org (http://www.linuxiso.org/) and click on the knoppix link. also be sure to read Helpful Stuff secition and Help with iso images that should explain how to burn the iso

HTH & welcome to JL

You need to have a bittorrent client installed, what it does is grabs the files from different locations at the same time, so it downloads faster, after you've done that you'll have the .iso. I believe thats how it works :)

Once you have the iso, you can use the command line and simply...

cdrecord -v -pad speed=4 dev=0,0,0 imagefile.iso

Or with a 2.6 kernel

cdrecord -v -pad speed=4 dev=ATAPI:/dev/hdc imagefile.iso

Nero, Roxio, or cdrtools for windows will allow you to burn the .iso to a cd-r correctly, on a windoze-based system.

If you are dialup you might try buying the knoppix CD from somplace.

If you are running windows you will want to use one of the programs EnigmaOne mentioned.
