lilo blues (episode 2)

Hi,

I'm trying to dualboot a mandrake linux partition, and a knoppix one through lilo. I mounted the knoppix partition to Mandrake's mnt, and edited the conf files as such- but when I booted into knoppix it didn't boot- with the the error thrown that the kernel was trying to kill init. I have no idea what that means, and seriously need help. I have lilo installed on the MBR if that helps.

Post the exact error and your partitioning profile.

you might be describing the wrong hdX device

hdX (hd*) profile is /dev/hd* (where * is the partition number of the root partition(correct me if im wrong, its been a while)

eg mine would be (if i used lilo still) /dev/sda2
