OK,

So I have been using Suse 9.1 on a old laptop and like it, so I want to make it my main distro on my main box. Its got a dual boot of Win98 and RH9. So I know if I run a Red Hat installer it says "hey you got linux wanna upgrade it" (paraphrasing of course). Will Suse do the same, or am I going to have to re-partition the Linux side to get her to work?

Or should I just move to Fedora Core 2 and make things easy for me???

TIA,

just so I make sure I understand what you want to do? you want to remove RH 9 and install Suse? if this is the case suse may see that you have current Linux partitions but it will want to format them in order to install Suse. I have not used Suse very much, but I am guessing it will want to create a /boot /Linux /swap by default or use the ones already there but erase them first. if you want to go the true upgrade root you can go from RH 9 to FC2 via the upgrade route!
