Need Some Help Installing Aliens Versus Predator(1999)

I have Aliens Versus Predator(1999), not the Gold edition. However, I decided to try using the installer for AVP Gold from here:

http://www.linuxpackages.net/pkg_details.php?id=2076

This is the file:
avp-gold-cvs20031105-i586-2jr.tgz

In a terminal, I execute this command:

tar xvzf avp-gold-cvs20031105-i586-2jr.tgz

This is what appears in the terminal:

When I look for anything in usr/games/ or usr/doc/, I find nothing.

It's an old game, but I would like to get it running. I think I just need a few tips.

That is a slackware package, what distro are you running?

oh btw if you are running slackware to install package use installpkg

man installpkg

Mandrake 10. If I am not using the right package, I would appreciate someone pointing me a how-to on how to get this running natively.

Of course, this being a Slack package might explain my problem. :o

Current status: Abandoned. I'm no longer working on this.I kind of figured it would end up there...but the CVS is still available

Follow the instructions to download the source, then there is a README or INSTALL file that will explain what to do (I think it's just a make) I have tried this in a while so I can't remember how everything worked...it was fairly easy though
