So, as I was having some trouble updating a few packages on my oldass Red Hat 7.3 install (I'll probably get flamed for saying that, as I'm sure there are a few people here still sporting a sub 2.0 kernel) I decided to say fsck it, and install Fedora Corew 2, as it seems like everyone has been ravong about it. So I did the install, it looks very nice, I like the updates to Gnome, (except I couldn't find the setting in Nautilus to not open a new window every time I clicked on a directory), I like various other aspects of it, but it way slowed my internet connection. Most sites won't even resolve. The only sites I could get to load without a timeout were slashdot.org and occasionaly the redhat site. I checked all my DNS settings, even turned the firewall off, what else should I be looking into? I have never had this problem, and as it is such a broad problem, with no error messages, and involves so many core aspects of the OS, I guess I don't know where to start. To state again, and more clearly, web sites will not load, or even resolve correctly with DNS (I think) using any browser (I have tried Mozilla, Konqueror, and Epiphany). What maskes it odd is that occasionally a few sites will load...

PS I still have a few Gmail invites if anyone needs one.

I'm going to close this thread since it is a post about networking but the title needs to be reworded so that anyone searching for this topic would be able to bring up this thread.
1. Needs to be in the web/security or the networking forum.
2. Needs to have a title reflecting the content.
Thanks for your patience.
