This is weird. I am not getting email notifications for any threads I am subscribed to. They were working fine until about 8:30am 9/2/04 this morning. I don't know if it is on my side or yours, but I wanted to make you aware of the problem. There have been replies on the subscribed threads and I have looked in my spam folder, etc... to see if they are getting filtered out somehow.
have you checked the 'options' area of your user cp to check that you have:
Use 'Email Notification' by default?
Using this option emails you whenever someone replies to a thread that you have participated in.
set to yes. This happened to me a while back and I just needed to change the setting back to receive notifications again.

Hmm, speaking of which...I've gotten two PMs today and not one notification like it should

Yes, Use 'Email Notification' by default is selected. It was the first thing that I looked for. Good thinking though.

Yep, I'm not getting any emails at all from here. None from PMs and I subscribed to this thread and still nothing.
I'm going to contact Brian and see if he knows what's going on
I sent him an email, but not sure if he'll get it since I sent it though this site...

Me too!! :D
No emails from justlinux for a couple of days now.
It's now Sunday, 08:45, 05 Sep 04.
Edit: The clock at justlinux is off by an hour also now. I posted at 08:45 and the justlinux clock shows it as 07:45.

bs_2003: Daylight Saving Time might explain the one hour off...

Oh good. Here I was disappointed when I came back from my weekend away from the internet and had no notifications. Now I'm going to have to manually check all of my threads though:confused:
Edit: The time is an hour off for me too, but I think it always has been. Different time zones maybe?

So, does justlinux not adjust for daylight saving time? I thought it did. I don't recall seeing the one hour discrepancy before.
(but then again.. I don't recall a lot of stuff. ;) )
So, who's looking into the email problem?
Thanks...

The bottom of this thread says (in my browser):
All times are GMT -5 hours. The time now is 07:40 PM. It is now actually 8:40 PM, because I am in Eastern Daylight Time (EST is GMT-5, and EDT is GMT-4).
I could go into my profile and adjust the forum to be one hour different, but what's the point? I know it's an hour off... ;) No, vBulletin (at least this version) doesn't track daylight saving time, because not all areas have daylight saving time. There are a lot of time zones where part of the zone doesn't have it while the rest of the zone does.
As far as the email issue, I don't know if anyone is looking into it. :( Brian's off for the weekend I'm sure, and even if he weren't, we'd need to PM or email him through the forum (which is what doesn't work :() to get him to check it out unless he happens to see this thread.
He should eventually see this thread, but I fear it might be a while. None of the rest of the mods have any way of getting at the main servers or talking to the techs running the site, unfortunately...

I'm not getting either. At first I thought it was just yahoo's spam filter but whatever happened I guess we can learn to live without it

Ditto. It seems to have started working while I was browsing the board in the past twenty minutes or so!:)
