I am using Fedora Core 2 x86-64 with the latest NVidia drivers and I get the following when trying to install Enemy Territory:

This installation doesn't support glibc-2.1 on Linux / x86_64
(tried to run setup)
See http://zerowing.idsoftware.com/linux/ for troubleshooting
The setup program seems to have failed on x86_64/glibc-2.1

See http://zerowing.idsoftware.com/linux/ for troubleshooting

Are there 64-bit installation binarys for ET out there? I tried Google already
;)

Did you follow the FAQ to the q3a FAQ on this error?
Setup and execution on 64 bits CPUs

If you are running Linux on a 64 bit CPU (such as AMD's Opteron), and if your system is backwards compatible so that it can execute 32 bits x86 binaries, then the regular Quake III Arena binaries should work (your mileage may vary).

It's likely that the installer scripts will get confused though, and will refuse to install giving you an error: "This installation doesn't support glibc-2.1 on Linux / unknown". You will have to extract the game files manually by passing --keep on the command line when running the setup script. Once the files are unpacked, you will need to copy them manually to /usr/local/games. You probably want to have a working installation to refer to while doing this. This also applies to RTCW and ET

You need the 32bit compatibility libraries installed iirc, the ONLY game with a 64bit binary atm is ut2004

The latest nVidia drivers support hardware acceleration in 32-bit emulation mode, so it is perfectly viable to run ET in 64-bit linux with good performance.

I think I had this problem installing it, actually, I don't know.. But I think there is a way to get the installer to work. Try running the installer with linux32 i.e. 'linux32 ./et-installer'
