P4 and SATA motherboard

To cut a long story short I now need to get a new motherboard :-( Anyway I was thinking about getting the Abit IS7-E2 from here (http://komplett.co.uk/k/ki.asp?sku=123081&cks=PRL) and wanted to know if anyone here has the same board or had it, just to know how Linux friendly it is. I'm looking around online at the moment but some input from here would be great.

In answer to your question why now, none of my hardware was damaged and I can't afford to wait, I'm leaving home on the 19th of Sep to start Uni. So I need it, and dont have the money or the time to wait.
