UT99 fast sound problems

well the title says it all. the sounds/music play too fast. is there some way i can slow them down to say about the normal speed. its not a HUGE problem but, i'd like to fix it

specs
AMD 1800+
ASUS mobo VIAKT600 chipset
onboard sound (which im using)
Mandrake 10.0 Official (and default kernel)

tried takeing out the audio files one by one to see if it would use system compiled ones but to no avail ut just wouldnt start.....

I seem to recall hearing about this on icculus.org (http://www.icculus.org). I don't know exactly where that would be, but it's someplace to start looking. I'll see if I can find it in the meantime.

Awsome!. Thanx for the quick reply. I followed the link you gave and found a topic that was somewhat similar to it but the good thing is that it worked! Sound sounds normal again!!

Here's what I did

I changed line in ~/.loki/ut/System/UnrealTournament.ini

from:
AudioDevice=ALAudio.ALAudioSubsystem
to:
AudioDevice=Audio.GenericAudioSubsystem

its around line 25ish in my file

Glad to hear it. I guess all of the troubles I had with it (and the amount of time I spent troubleshooting) finally came in handy:D
