Hey there people.

I'm a first year applied geophysics post graduate student, with a bachelors in Physics. First of all I don't really know much about geophysics yet - mine is a three year M.Tech course and we've just had two weeks of classes in the first year.

What I want to know is if there are any geophysics/geological applications that are available on Linux.

Any earth sciences people out there ??
