is it posible to run need for speed underground in linux mandrake 9.2? or was it just for the exspensive windows operating system?

It looks like you may be able to run it under Cedega (http://www.transgaming.com), but it also appears that there are a lot of problems with it. You may want to read through the game forum there and see what kind of luck people have had with it. Based on the number of people who seem to want it working under WineX/Cedega, I would guess that there is no Linux port of the game, so I think this is the only route open to you.

No and Yes...it was made for Windows only
WineX users have had mild success with running it

i did try it with wine x but it did have problems starting up the game, but quake 3 arena is ok to run on linux isent it?

Or it should be on your install disks. Try the Mandrake Control Center under Software Management (or something to that effect, I forget what it is exactly in 9.x).
