I just purchased a Canon LIDE30 Flatbed Scanner with 1200x2400 resolution. This thing I perfect For Linux. Plugin bootup adn blammo It works Perfect Out of the BOX. If you are looking for a scanner Compatable I highly recomend This little bute.

I second that! My mom has one of those and I borrowed it; instant scanning of photos! In windows, I had to install some kinda driver to make it work. I guess my mandrake was more ready for my desktopthan windows when it comes to scanning!!!:D
