hey guys, please don't lock this thread...

I'm trying to play ut2004 and One of two things usually happens, the game will lock up completely, forcing me to reboot to get back to the linux desktop or it will crash and drop me back to the desktop in the middle of a game, most likely that I'm winning. here's my ut2004.log:

any idea on what is going on? I've got the latest patch and I've got the current video card drivers. I mean c'mon linux programs aren't supposed to crash.
