My cousin sent me this link as he still lives in San Antonio. I grew up in this place mentioned in the article. I knew the man in the article, not well, but well enough to post this here. Last report this morning is that DNA has been taken and being analyzed.

When I first started reading that I was thinking "They found a chupacabra!" funny that they mention that later in the interview.
The later pictures look like a wierd cross of a hyena and a rat..ick!
If you hear anymore on that story I'd like to hear it. You always get the begining of these stories and never hear anything again about it...

I find it hard to believe it has no blood. Is there any source afters that shows its autopsy or something?

This whole story kinda freaks me out.
And, yeah...rat/hyena/fox/kangaroo sorta mix.
If you hear anything else about this, John, I'd be interested.

That is a coyote with red mange in all three of those pictures.
Of course, we have been finding chickens with their blood sucked out around here

Look at a large dog's canine teeth sometime, hopefully a "friendly" large dog! :)

No...I've seen plenty of coyotes growing up and thats not a coyote.....mange or not. I used to shoot them on the farm when I was a little guy. I've seen enough dead and alive. The hide and bones have been sent off for DNA analysis. I'll post when I hear something,

Probably a imported deer.

That was my first impression when I saw it. A species of deer found in Japan. Then I contacted a few of my Japanese friends to have a look...they seem more than doubtful its one of theirs ...if its a deer.

Well, JohnT I think you need to go and personally warn the poor folks at The Riverside Ranch (http://www.riversideranch.net/) since they could be in danger and not even know it. Probably you should take your camera in case you run across something interesting.
Also, get me some details on that "breezy bike run" they have listed on their site, it sounds interesting.
