Linux certification

I was just wondering if becoming linux certified has advantages. Do you have to have a local place to become certified at? What are some advantages to it? Is there anyone on here that has took the certification course? Do you have to be a certain age to do it (only 16)?

The LPI site (here (http://www.lpi.org)) should have links to test sites in your area. Can't really say about your other questions apart from that their website should explain age limits etc..

The advantages depend on what you want it for. If you're going for a linux job then it can only help. Otherwise the syllabus is very good for personal knowledge ;)
