I have a client who is having problems sending attachments through their isp which runs xmail. The attachment is a small excel spreadsheet that gets broken up into text files which are complete garbage. To test to see if it was OE that was causing the problem I switched the pop and smtp servers to another isp that runs exchange 2000 and then another that runs qmail and the attachment went through just fine.
The original isp says that it's a problem with OE but I kind of doubt it since I got it through on the other isps.
Has anyone had this kind of problem using xmail? Know a workaround or any different tweaks or settings I should use on OE?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have they tried compressing the file then sending? .zip, .rar, .tar.gz? What extension is it being saved under, and sent?

It's being attached as a .xls file but it arrives as 3 .txt files. Tried to zip it but but I got similar results. I don't figure I should have to zip because the spreadsheet is only 150kb and compressed it goes to about 80kb so I don't think it's hitting the MTU limits on the server. At least I'd hope not otherwise they'd be getting lots of complaints like that.
