Hey fellow Linux gamers I need your help. I'm having difficulties installing UT2004 in SuSE 9.1 Pro.
When I sudo in the terminal to sh the linux installer everything seems to go well after I input the Key Code. After I input the key later I get this message: Please mount the Unreal Tournament 2004 Play Disc CDROM. Choose Yes to retry, No to cancel.
I even mounted the dvd when in sudo and I still get the same message. Even when I log in ROOT I still get the same message. The same problem occured in Gnome.

I even went to google.com/linux and found someone having the same problem as me and no response.

This never happened in SuSE 9.0 Pro. Heck there is no DVD and CD-R/RW icon to mount; only that damn My Computer icon which has the icons in. I even created the icon to mount and nothing.

Can someone please help?

Thank you.

Here's a few options you can try...same problems occur for Ut2004 as UT2003 sometimes

I installed UT2K4 on Suse 9.1 Pro, but I used 6 CDs. There isnt a supermount control in SuSE 9.1, so you just open a new terminal as root, and umount and mount manually via terminal between each disc insert. That did the trick for me.

If SuSE uses supermount, and if you can turn it off, DO SO. ;)

I pretty much found the solution...well I hope. THIS (http://portal.suse.com/sdb/en/2004/05/hmeyer_91_revert_from_subfs.html) is what I found.
I haven't tried it yet, but will do so soon after updating.

Oh and I did mount and unmount through the terminal manually and it didn't work for me.

I have the DVD and this is the command needed

export SETUP_CDROM=/media/dvd

enter this in a terminal and than the start the installer

in the same terminal and all should work

I think you must start from an unmounted cd

so the installer needs to be copied to your hd to be run

Thank you very much. I did as you wrote and it worked. Why did they (Novell) do this for? Mandrake-esk?
