Is there an easy way to upgrade the whole distribution using the online update?
I don't need to save any settings.

If you're using 9.0, the only thing you can use online update for is to upgrade 9.0, as in patches, security updates, etc. You can install 9.1 by ftp, or download the Personal iso. Or , of course, buy a copy to support this fine distro. frimann 07-22-2004, 09:46 PM This is a guide on ftp install of suse 9.1. http://www.linuxgazette.com/node/view/9052 paj12 07-23-2004, 12:08 AM Get on suse.com (http://www.suse.com/) and find an FTP mirror nearest you. Then get the boot disks from that mirror from the /pub/suse/i386/9.1/boot/ directory of whatever server you choose. Then boot off those disks and run the installation with FTP as your source. When YaST detects that you've already got Linux, it'll offer you the option to upgrade your current install. justlinux.com
