I have a linksys WPC54G wireless card for my notebook computer and can't get it to work...I've heard you need ndiswrapper to use the windows xp driver but since I am new to linux I need really dumbed down instruction on how to install ndiswrapper and how to use it to make my wireless card work...any help is greatly appreciated
oh yeah I'm trying to use Red Hat 9

Nope, you didn't give us enough information to help you more then pointing out where the NDISwrapper site is http://ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net
What distribution are you using? There are Gentoo and Debian packages available.
Other then that, the site has FAQs and a link to their IRC channel
Also, if you search this site for WPC54G, you will see a few other posting from others with this card

i believe that card uses the atheros chipset, there is also the madwifi project

there is no actual files on sourceforge, but you can get it from the cvs and i believe there is a slackware package, though i have not seen it
the madwifi drivers do not require the windows drivers btw.....some maynot care....some might
