Ata/100 Controller Card

I just wanted to know if it was possible to install and boot Linux on a hard drive conected to pci controller card. I wanted to add one more hard drive that would be completely dedicated to Linux.

Sure, but it will depend on the card and the bios in your computer. Will it boot off board resources first?
