2 or more Linux distro question

After many attempt to install multiple distro of LINUX on a 40 gig HD (win$free) and a lot of reading, i need some help on the subject. I would like to have FC2 and SuSE on the same HD and may be more or switch to others later on this test box. What would be the proper partitioning from scratch (primary, extended,logical) and the boot instruction to have them preferably on the MBR.
Most site i find talk about dual boot with XP (not interested for this box). THXS for the time to answer this one... Or if you know of a good site on this subject.

OK you can have as many distro as you like.
