Has anybody got any games to work in Slackware 10 ???

I'm talking about GL games like Chromium, Billiard, etc. . .
Or is it a bad choice (distro) for gaming on my part?

and yes, I have NIVIDA drivers installed with the little, acutally kinda big, NVIDIA logo before starting X server. . .

I got Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory working. The only problem I ran into was sound not working. If you see the NVIDIA splash screen, then the drivers should be installed properly. Have you tried any OpenGL games?

I don't think its a bad idea to run games. ET runs smoothly, minus the sound issue.

The more Linux can do, the better.

I got chromium installed, but when I run it it gives me:
error while loading shared libraries: libopenal.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

so I guess I'll do a google search for openal for slackware or somthing. . .Havne't tried ET yet. ..

You need to install OpenAL. Check your distro's CD(s) or www.openal.org for the source.
