Hanging at 'LI' prompt.

When I try to boot the pc from floppy disk (RH 6.2), it hangs with the prompt LI. What does this 'LI' signify? and how can I get past this?

search for lilo errors on practically anywhere, be it on google or JL, you will find piles of answers. This is a very common question and even tables have been made to show the errors in human-readable form.

Please familiarise with google.

that LI signifies that lilo has been broken some how.
