Unreal Tournament Problem

I dont have the goty edition of ut but i got the UT_DATA_PATH error and i saw that teh way to fix this was to install it with the goty installer and i tried it and the cd wouldnt mount almost as if installer recognized that it wasnt a goty cd and wopuldnt mount it and i have also tried it when i copied the contents of the cd to my hard drive and ran everything from there and i did export SETUP_CDROM=/home/me/UnrealTournament and then i executed the goty installer and it still asked me to mount the cd and now i dont know what to do oh well thanks anyway
