Ok, I am a new Linux user...well not yet any way. I just downloaded SUSE 9.1 .ISO file. According to the instructions it says to burn the cd with the .ISO file. Reboot the computer and it should boot automatically. So here is everything I have done to this point.
1. Changed the bios setting to Boot from the cd rom.
2. Partitioned my Hard Drive 40gig on the first and 40 gig on the second. On the first partition I loaded Win XP on the second partitioned I have left that unformated.
It says it should boot on a pure IDE CDRom, I'm figuring that this may be the problem but not sure. Is there a way I can load this ISO File and if so how?

Yes, I can be more specific.
I Burned the ISO files to a CD, I rebooted my computer. But It does not reconize the files. So it come up and says "Non System Disk error"
I did what the instructions said to do.
I made sure in the Bios it was set to Boot from CD ROM

When you burned the disk, did you burn it as an ISO image? ISO is a specific format that needs to be burned specially. All the major CD burning programs (and most others -- including Nero and Roxio/Adaptec/Whatever They Are) support this. Just look in the help for how to burn ISO images.
If you just burn the file straight to disk, your system will receive the error that you just got.

Hi,
What software did you use to burn the ISO? can you see the contents of the CD from withen windows? did you verify that the ISO image you downloaded was a good one? here is a article that explains how to do this http://www.linuxiso.org/viewdoc.php/verifyiso.html

did you simply burn the .ISO file onto the disk?
If you browse to the cd via any OS, do you see a single .ISO file? or do you see a whole bunch of stuff?
If you see just the .ISO, it burned incorrectly.
The burning program should recognize the ISO file and extract the contents onto the CD, not just burn the single file.

Yeah, this happened to me, too. I Nero's website has an online help document... or at least it did, a year ago.

Yea as others have said, make sure your burn the .iso as an "image". Also make sure the .ISO md5sum matches the one from where you DLed it :)
