I've been playing simple little puzzle games, lately, including:

Deadly Rooms of Death (DROD) (http://www.drod.net/)

Pingus (Lemmings clone) (http://www.happypenguin.org/show?Pingus)

Frozen Bubble (Puzzle Bobble clone) (http://www.frozen-bubble.org/)

My favorite right now is Deadly Rooms of Death, because it involves slaying hordes of creatures but it's turn based and completely nonrandom.

What are your favorites?

Don't forget console games - atc (air traffic controller) is great (IMHO) - part of the bsdgames package on most systems.

Metal Blob Solid (Blobwars) is a cool platform type game.

I love Frozen-Bubble. It's easy to play, easy to understand and even I can win when I play it.

I actually, five minutes ago, discovered jump 'n bump, a multiplayer games, you're a couple of cute little bunnies, and you gotta jump on the others, causing them to burst apart in a bloody mess of guts...then you do it again..and again..and again..

? Sounds like it is.

My favorites are probably zsnes (playing either Chrono Trigger, FF3 (English FF3, so FF6 in Japan), or Zelda: LttP), lbreakout2, or UT (the original). No, UT isn't simple or little, but oh well. ;)
