Maybe you're not doing as root?

slack 10 uses xorg, not xfree. Therefore, log in as root (su - ) then type xorgconfig or xorgcfg.

I'm happy about the change from XF86Conf to xorg.conf for nothing else but the lack of caps.:D

I second that!

If xorgconfig doesn't work do: /usr/X11/xorg/bin/xorgconfig

I made a new Slack 9.1 install, and the user can run xf86config but cannot write to the file (obviously), but xf86config didn't exist in the root bin....

What gives??
