Hi everybody,

I have tried various debian installer's and or distro's and I have had the same problem with all of them after doing a regular install or HD install of various distro's I am unable to hear the KDE startup sound or play auido cd's you can see this thread for more info http://www.justlinux.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=129798&highlight=Bosox+Debian

I have tried using knoppix 3.4, the Debian sarge installer, Mepis 2004, kanottix 05 & 06, Morphix 0.4-1. I am in the processoes of downloading Libranet 2.8.1, becuse according to the libranet forums my sound card should work

so if anyone as a audigy card that the have been able to get an audigy to work with Debian Propper or a varient my ultimate goal with all of this is to have a Debian system that runs the 2.6 kernel with KDE 3.2, I love the idea of APT and the whole concept behind Debian, I want a distro that I can install ounce and upgrade via the net, I want to start saving more ISO's for music :D

Thanks for any advice and or help
