Hey,
My main problem is that although I can set the resolution using Redhat's "Display panel" thingy, It does not work. I have been using linux for some time now but am not very good at managing X in any way. After I close the display panel it gives me some message about saving my settings in a backup config file, and it says the changes will take effect after I restart X. I've tried restarting my computer many times but I'm still stuck on 800x600 res(I can't live with that). I don't know what happend, I was just fine at 1280x1024 and then I rebooted and now I can't change my res from 800x600. I'm using a radeon 9500 non-pro card which has worked fine from the start. I have no clue what to do and this is really pissing me off. Oh BTW I'm using Redhat 9 with Gnome(I've tried KDE to possibly fix this problem but it isn't making any difference)
Any help whatsoever is appreciated!!
