Kernel 2.6

Hello
I have upgrded my kernel to 2.6/on Redhat 9.0.After updating,When I rebooted and when the GRUB starts,it began to beep.What should I do?
Another thing,I have a Server(a SMP dual CPU).Is it useful for me to migrate to 2.6.x kernel series?>

odds are you need to reinstall grub

a google.com/linux search for "grub beeping" comes up with the this (http://www.google.com/linux?hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&q=grub+beeping&btnG=Google+Search).

the first two links are very relevant to your problem (the first has a good step by step guide). these should point u in the right direction.


as mdwatts says "search first...ask second"
