I just got Farcry yesterday, I am impressed. Definitely something to keep Windows around for, I think it will take a while before Linux versions are available.
A 5 CD install, takes a fast system to run all out. My system was labeled "Medium" by the auto configurator. Graphics are awesome.
I can't see it running in Wine at all, it would bog down too much. It will definitely need a native Linux installation, if that is possible. I didn't see anything about GL in the docs. Just started so not much story yet.

Huh?
Are your shock treatments wearing off already? That was a nearly pointless post :p

I doubt we'll ever see a Linux port of this since it was released by the 'oh-so-Linux-friendly' company, UbiSoft Entertainment

I'm still wanting a Ghost Recon port!

There is a GL mode for Farcry, it is NOT supported

" For NVIDIA Users of GeForce Cards up to GeForce 4 whose framerate feed choppy or slow, edit the file system.cfg and change the line r_Driver = “Direct3D9” to r_Driver = “OpenGL” to try the unsupported OpenGL version. This may run faster in specific cases"

if this helps any :)

Today is my Official Pointless Post Day. At least I did put it in Games, so it wasn't entirely pointless. See, another pointless post posted! :D
