Awwww. How cute. :D

I recently passed my two year mark as a member of Just Linux and a Linux user in general. I just wanted to say that without the communtiy here that never would of happened. Thank you everyone for your good advice, patience and not slapping even though the situation called for it.

Well, I'm sneaking in and giving you a kiss for those kind thoughts, do you want me to shave first? :)
Thanks for helping out. And 48 years from now, we'll be arguing over Windows2052 and the Linux kernel version 393 (and ATI drivers still will not work right). :)

...and KDE will still be compiling in Gentoo...

Ain't that the truth!
But maybe by then they will be able to run UT2004 Onslaught maps without breaking down into a big lined blob :)

My sincere thanks to all in JL for the help and guidance I have received in my time in scrolling through the posts!

I have stated this plenty of times in the past but I have learnt more from this site than any other Linux site I have visited.

And thanks to psi42, the URLs in your signature enabled me to use my laptop winmodem at full speed!!:D

Forgot to say... thanks Loki3 and I'm sure everyone here appreciates all the help you have provided over the years. And congrats on surpassing two years as a LNO/JL member.

Do you remember when you helped me configure my winmodem? On that day of victory I swore allegence to LNO/JL/The Cult of Mdwatts!

:D

Thanks for the thanks.

Sorry I don't as those 30K+ posts are only a distant blurred memory. Most I can remember are ones posted within the last couple of days. :(

And as I've posted here many times, I've never actually setup a modem (hardware or software) in Linux since by the time I started to use Linux (Dec/99) I already had broadband both at home and at the office. After all the modem problems posted here... whew!!! :)

Are you still using that winmodem or do you now have broadband?

I agree. This is a great place to learn about Linux, and I enjoy the banter between everyone.

I've never had to post a question here in the last 6 months that I've been using Linux because EVERYTHING I've needed to know has been answered already. Yes, it sometimes takes patience to search for the right answers to the similar questions that I have, but the answers are here!

This is a SUPER forum!
