Kernel disturbs Kde!

Has this occurred to anyone?

In all kernels 2.6.+ (genuine, patched etc.) Kde is showing the full trash icon when trash is empty.

After all actions (moving items to trash, emptying trash etc.) the trash icon stays full for ever!

I have compiled a horde of 2.6.* and 2.4.* kernels and this is always happening.

In all kernels 2.4.* Kde desktop is ok.

Maybe it's just trying to tell you that 2.6 is a waste. (Get it? Waste! Trash!)

Anyway, some suggestions have been to delete the .directory and that should clear things up (although, I'm not sure what other settings this will (dare I say it?) trash...) I believe this .directory file is in the trash, BTW. It will be recreated, but this will give KDE a chance to fix the bug.

After some research though, this doesn't appear to be a bug with the kernel (there's really no reason why this should happen with a different kernel). It more appears to be a bug with a newer version of KDE. (Although, I could be wrong. In that case...well...you can just throw my ideas out.
