Hey everyone. This is my first post. I just installed Suse 9.0 for the first time. I'm running duel boot w/ XP. Now I need a little help to get everything running right.

First of all, I need internet access b/c us nerds can't live w/o it. I have a lincsys wireless usb adapter that I need to get working. Suse recogniced my ethernet card, which is great. However, for the next 2 months of my life, wireless internet will be all that is available.

Second, I need to get my graphics card working. i have a 128mb ati raedon 9800. It appears that suse recongnizes it, but it says i do not have 3d support.

Any help you guys could give would be greatly appreciated. I'm a total newb, and def need to learn some things from you guys (and girls).

First off, welcome to the forums and welcome to Linux.

Secondly... you'll have better luck getting answers with a more detailed thread subject and if you split your questions into two different threads. Check out the posting guidelines that are linked in my signature.

Linksys makes a whole bunch of wireless USB adapters... which one do you have? It's hard to help you get your problem fixed if there's no information. Regardless, do a www.google.com/linux search for the model number of the adapter. I bet it uses the linux-wlan-ng drivers.

ATI offers binary drivers for 3D Acceleration. You'll have to get them from their website. Once again, google is king.

Let us know how it goes.

Exactly (thanks Loki3) as outlined in the JL Community Help Posting Guidelines sticky thread at the top of each forum, you should include a subject that relates to the question and split your questions into separate threads.

Please repost (copy & paste) your questions into new threads with proper subjects that describe the contents. Thank-you for understanding.
