I don't know how big of a bug this is, but it is an annoyance. Many times I will e browsing the forums and see threads/posts I KNOW I have not read that show the grey envelope like it has been viewed. It happened again this morning, I found several new posts, posted since I logged last night, that were in "already viewed status". This makes it sorta hard to keep track of the threads. :( Is there any fix for this?

How does your browser manage cookies? That's my first line of thought...

I've seen this when I haven't viewed the post itself, but have done other things on the forum that keep my session going after the post was made.

For example, I see a thread in Programming that looks interesting, so I open it up (which keeps my session going). While I'm reading it, somebody posts in Technical. I reply to the post in Programming (so my session is still valid, and my "last activity time" is after the post time in the thread in Technical), then close my browser.

The next day, when I come back, the thread in Technical is marked as already-read.

Is this what you're seeing also?

In guess this is possible Bw, I notice it from 3 types of machine, XP, win2k and Fedora core 1, I tend to leave to the forum up all day on one machine or the other, constantly checking between work orders or , home-- games :P. Possible that this is the issue, maybe not a bug then, sorry.

I don't usually change anything as far as cookies, on XP or 2k I just nuke them once in a while, and I use Adaware continuously. :)
