I need a free shell or a very cheap shell to host sc_trans. Its a program that connects to my shoutcast server and sends the mp3 data to my shoutcast server instead of me using winamp and connecting to my shoutcast server. I need about 1.5gb of space to upload my mp3s and its going to send out 128kbps constantly. I was using my host server it was 2ghz server and it was using 10percent CPU and they didn't like that. So if someone can help me out ill appriate it! i'm willing to pay 8 dollars a month the max

hmm... You could try installing linux on your home machine and use that to stream audio... or use a program called gnump3d which allows you to stream mp3's over the web with very little resource usage.

try gnump3d to stream mp3's from your current hosting service. As its not very resource intensive it might work out for you.

Not many places are going to offer you 24/7 streaming of music for only 8 bux a month. You could try searching for a host board. There are a few sites that will compare hosts and pricing plans for you out there.
