Best TCP/IP book ?

I have to capitulate :) ... this firewall-stuff (iptables) has made me aware that I miss some hardcore-network-administration knowledge (a wider topic than only TCP/IP) ... got to have me a thorough and "easy-to-digest" book.

For a long time I've been curious about O'Reilly's "TCP/IP Network Administration, 3rd Edition".

Maybe there are better books about this topic ... if you know of one, give me a hint!

If you check the websites of Cisco, IBM and 3Com, you'll find some excellent whitepapers and veritable books on the subject of TCP/IP and IP addressing.

It'll certainly save you a pile of cash!
