Install on IBM Thinkpad X20 with no floppy or CD-ROM

I am facing the same problem (I just got an X20).

Did you ever solve this? I have been through a bunch of stuff trying to get linux on my X20, but have remained unsuccessful so far. I would like to hear about your solution.

I split your question into a new thread since the one you posted in is roughly a year old and the member likely does not frequent JL anymore.

What distro/version are you planning to install? See if they have any online documentation to help with installing without a floppy or cdrom.
