Thought you guys might find this interesting. The GAIM development team in an effort to raise money (presumably beer money) has apparently put some things up for auction on ebay. You can see what they have to offer via gaim.sf.net or this link:

My personal favorite is the Contra code written on a napkin. Remember bid early and bid often. What a great way to help out the open source community. :D

That's one of the more creative "we need money" methods I've seen yet!
"Two books we don't want anymore"
one is VB for Dummies and the other is a cryptogram book :D
Looks like the autograph photo of the team is the big seller! A photo of three scruffy guys, hmmm...I'll pass :)

Is that a sanitary napkin? :)
My favorite ebay item ever was a girl who would pretend to be a geek's girlfriend and would email and write. That way the relatives wouldn't worry about the geek so much. I don't remember the winning bid.
It seems as if GAIM is going to make a total of around $50- how many team members and how much beer?

It looks like just those 3 guys. Thats not bad as long as they stick to something like Natural Ice or The Beast.....errrr they may be better off with the Contra napkin and the mattress
If I _had_ to buy something, I would buy the cd... :)

hey, I think this is funny and orignal, I may just pay them to never do it again, that would be worth 100$ :)

One would naturally assume that the napkin was sanitary...therefore clean? ;)

Looks like they're doing pretty good on the auction. I'm going to start putting up $10 bills for auction myself.:)

Why? Too late to retract your bid? :p
