gentlemen,
if you are getting this error in your /var/log/samba/USERNAME.log file when trying to print to a samba/cups setup:
lpr: unable to print file: client-error-document-format-not-supported
then go to the Adobe website and download the following driver:
Adobe PostScript4 Printer Driver
Install this on your doze box, just make sure you tell it to be the default generic postscript printer during the install and start printing thru samba to your cups printer.
