Ok i dont know how to go around this but this cd i just burned isnt booting.

Yes the bios is set to the CDROM as the first device to boot from.

Yes i burned the CD from the image Mandrakelinux-10.0-Community-Download-CD1.i586.iso using nero and it worked fine.

Yes I can access the CD in windows and it shows all is OK.

When my system boots up it says "boot from cd..." real quick then the CD light blinks then it moves on to boot windows.

My only thought at the moment is Mandrake screwed up the boot image when they created it ?

I had the same problem. Boot from CD2, and when it gives you an error message, swap it back to CD1.

Anyone know if it's possible to DL the ISO images, mount them and install the updated packages from within Mdk 10 Beta 2?

See if Mandrake has any documentation on HD installs either posted on their website or in the readme's on their ftp servers. They should.
