I am somewhat new to linux, I have done installs, I know some commands, and test im sick of windows....

so I am looking for software to write java, I am in need of this for non profit or church website devlopement. I am currently running suse 9.0 and I have done some installs but all were rpm's or package installs from the vendor cd. so can anyone assist me in finding some software and help with the install.

I was using jext for windows.

If you liked jext in windows why don't you just use jext in linux also?
Or if you are looking for something different I would suggest Eclipse.

Ive never used the IDE for programming before, but just installed the Eclipse (out of curiosity) and it is very impressive.
Thanks to the person who mentioned this in this thread :D
