Hi,
have myself a bit of a problem.my wife's laptop is a pretty much weak , a celeron 400.
But she got a new one from the job so this one is available for me to play with
it as I please. Gooood. Since I had a 256 RAM stick , I added this one and now is
pretty much fast. Here's the story:installed slack , but don't want to run Gnome or KDE
on it. So I put Fluxbox. It worked. Since I left all gnome packages to install , I have
gdm as well. But , there's no way for me to add Fluxbox in the choice list.I was
looking for /ec/gdm/Sessions/ , this one didn't existed so I created it and put the
fluxbox file there. No joy. With startx I manage to start it. That's OK. Can anyone
using Flux on Slack managed to add this in the gdm sessions choice? And how?
Problelm #2 , for whatever reason , command bsetbg is not available to me ,only
bsetroot , thus I can't set the background as I wish.
Anyone can help?
TA!

the session files for GDM for Slackware are kept in:

/etc/dm/Sessions

they are all .desktop files, which is the newer way of doing it. if you copy one to a new name and edit it, they are very easy to understand.

Thx Hayl!
That worked for me like a charm. Basically , if I don't want to have so many entries in my gdm choice menu , all I have to do is to move these .desktop files from this directory.Cute!
