Easy swicthing from Kde to gnome question

how do u swicth from kde to gnome in slackware from kde.(i just installed and everythings default).

startx kde
startx gnome
...

startx kde or gnome does not work in other distros (well, redhat). Does this actually work in slack?

I would think that the startx would not take any options in any distro, but i could be wrong.
