can't print while online

distro: mandrake 9
printer: hp officejet 7130 (usb)
pppoe client: rp-pppoe
modem: alcatel speed touch home
ethernet card: adm983 linksys etherfast 10/100

I noticed that if I try to print something while connected to the internet that the application I'm using to print will lock causing me to kill it. It'll print fine while offline. Any Ideas as to what may be causing this. Thanks in advance.

That is kinda hard to troubleshoot without being at your system.

All I can think of is to check your system logfiles for any errors related to printing and networking. Look in /var/log with the main logfile being /var/log/messages.

Could it be a resource (irq etc.) conflict? Make sure you have PnP OS disabled in the bios and also check the printer settings in the bios.
