I am wanting to try out Gentoo, and I have two hard drives currently installed. My original intention was to use one as a backup. It appears I did something wrong along the way. Here is my setup:
/dev....
/hda1 - ntfs - /mnt/win_c/
/hda5 - ext3 - /var
/hda6 - ext3 - /home
/hdb1 - ext3 - /
/hdb6 - ext3 - /usr
Then I have these unknowns ? which are all in:
/dev/fde/host0/target0/lun0/.....
part1 - ? - /mnt/win_c
part5 - ? - /var
part6 - ? - /home
part1 - ? - /
part6 - ? - /usr
The thing is that the first part6 is labeled as being 67.7gb (/home) and the second one is listed as being 107.4 GB (/usr).
I see that part1 and hda1 are one in the same. I get that, now after looking at it. But here's the problem. The just mentioned drives have the same files!?? I wanted to put gentoo on the part6 (#2 - hdb6). But are these just imaged files, or are they the actual files? And if I install Gentoo on that drive, will it screw my first install?
Damn I'm confused..
