Hello,
I have fedora with kde 3.2
I can see gnome in the kdm session list but it doesn't start. kde starts instead. it was ok until I upgrade 3.1.4 to 3.2
help will be appreciated

Check your hidden files in your user folder...~/.xinitrc and ~/.xsession. You should see a back-up of each file if KDE overwrote on install. They should give you a hint. You should be able to start Gnome from the prompt with "startgdm" if you dont want to mess with your files.

thanks for the swift response.
I can 't find any of the files you mentioned, not in my home dir anyway.

Try ..../usr/lib/X11/xinit/xinitrc or in /etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc.
Or use the command...locate xinitrc
