I am looking to setup a box as a firewall\router\FTP server and I ran across some router cards on ebay, basically they are a 4 port router that connects to your PCI slot, are these a good idea compared to using 2 NICs and a router solution? Anyone know of a disto that has specific config tools for a router card? Thanks

You could use one of those quad ethernet cards if you want. There really isn't going to be any gain in doing so other then using one PCI slot, and have two more ethernet connections on it. make sure if you get one that is well supported.

Edit..

I think I may have misread your post..
