So I was wondering what distributed computing do you use? What are yout preferences? Most popluar seems to be Seti@home and Folding@home. so thats up in the poll.

While on the topic.. I see there is JL seti team ( http://setiathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/stats/team/team_11027.html )
But can anyone link me to the F@H team?
I personally run F@H myself but I think I'll switch to seti.

I've switched all my work and home pc's over to Seti. I'm thinking of contacting Seti to ask them to change Linuxnewbie.org to JustLinux.com since the founder of the LNO group for Seti (Sensei) does not seem to be involved anymore.

It's in my sig

Unfortunately it's only avalable for Windows.

Will you support versions for UNIX, Linux, or the Macintosh OS?
Plans for a release on other operating systems have been postponed to concentrate on our Windows release. This will be revisited based on customer and member demand.

Yes, but people are still using it as linuxnewbie.org, and there was a lot of pain and angst going along with the switch. Unless everyone who was contributing decided to make the switch, it would probably be easier (and less anger provoking) to simply create a new group under the name of JustLinux, or whatnot...

I run Distributed Folding (http://www.blueprint.org/proteinfolding/distributedfolding/distfold.html) and Chessbrain (www.chessbrain.net). Chessbrain is idle most of the time, so it doesn't hurt my DF production all that much.

But I'm a member of Free-DC, not JL, in both of those projects...
