I'm looking for a laptop slot 1 PCMCIA card that with allow 2 (or more) LAN interfaces.
ie. a slot 1 cards with a double RJ45 hydra cable.
Is such a thing possible/on the market, can anyone point me in the right way?
I've checked a few places from google but nothing slaps me in the face and screams I'M THE ONE!:D
Just thought it would be nice to turn my old Sony PCG-505 laptop (only one slot possible) into a firewall/router, for demonstration purposes (nice & portable).

Thanks in advance.

I don't know of any offhand.

Have you checked all the main PCMCIA card manufacturers? DLink, Linksys, Xircom, 3Com etc.?

Still digging through them as we speak.

The reality is that such a bit of kit is not very realistic, I kinda thought that half way through writing the post!
Laptops are *meant* for mobile/convenient working, linux boxes are meant for fixed desktop/server/firewall/router.
Why make something like this?

I'll look into USB lan as the second interface, cheaper all round (even if it's a resource hog)

Chears for the response
:)
